Belgium-based Dematra Group, which specializes in logistics services and fine-mesh distribution, announced today that it has acquired Nouwens Transport Breda BV.

Dematra Group, specialized in logistics services and fine-mesh distribution within the Benelux, announced today that it has acquired Transport De Sloover. Through this acquisition, Dematra Group strengthens its position in full truck load transportation of goods.

Nazareth-based storage and distribution company Dematra is building a fully automated high-rise warehouse in the De Prijkels industrial park.The building is 46 meters high and can accommodate 80,000 pallets. In 24 hours, 12,000 pallets can be moved. "This building is an international first, even in America they don't have that," says CEO Geert De Jaeger.

Dedicated warehousing and distribution specialist Dematra is a well-known player in the transport sector. To ensure its continued growth, the East Flanders logistics player needs a modern and high-performance IT infrastructure.

Waterland Private Equity Investments will provide growth capital to Dematra, specialist in the storage and fine-mesh distribution of food and non-food products.
