Dematra acquires De Sloover Transport

Dematra Group, specialized in logistics services and fine-mesh distribution within the Benelux, announced today that it has acquired Transport De Sloover. Through this acquisition, Dematra Group strengthens its position in full truck load transportation of goods.

With the acquisition of De Sloover, Dematra is able to expand its range of services toward full truckload transportation and offer its customers more flexibility and choices. All of De Sloover's employees will be integrated into the new combined group and continue to perform full truckload hauling. De Sloover's customers will be seamlessly transitioned to Dematra's systems and can continue to use familiar services.

"We are very pleased with this acquisition. It allows us to serve our customers even better and to continue to focus on our core business. We warmly welcome our new employees and customers and look forward to a successful cooperation."

- Geert De Jaeger, CEO of Dematra Group

Cédric De Jaeger: "Through this combination we are able to travel even less empty kilometers which is an advantage both economically and ecologically. Because Transport De Sloover has its own specialty (full truckloads) within the group, the integration will go smoothly. For all drivers there will be relatively little change per se."

De Sloover has been around for 33 years and is a leading player in the full truckload transport of goods and has built up specific expertise in this field over the years with a nice customer portfolio. The existing management of De Sloover remains on board to guarantee continuity. In combination with Dematra, it can now also offer its customers fine-meshed distribution and logistics services.
