Wim Claes Transport & Logistics joins forces with Dematra

It promised to be a year of celebration and so it happened. During its 30th anniversary year, Genk-based transport & logistics company Wim Claes Transport & Logistics (WCTL) managed to win the trophy for Employer of the Year. And now, a few weeks later, there is great news again: WCTL has announced a strategic partnership with Dematra, a move that offers both family businesses new opportunities for growth and innovation.

Cooperation between WCTL and Dematra

WCTL and Dematra join forces to form a stronger logistics network together. This collaboration marks a new chapter where both companies, known for their family values, seek synergies ethically, ecologically and economically. With a focus on_{CO2 reduction} and efficiency, they promise to further optimize their services.

The current owners, Wim and An, remain on board to further lead WCTL within the Dematra Group. Together, they will establish a growth story that leverages the strengths of both companies.

Moving to new location

The cooperation is crowned by the move to a new location starting in January 2025. WCTL's fleet will then move to the former Lambrechts buildings on Geleenlaan, a distribution center of more than 13,000 m². This spacious site, with 30 docks, fully renovated office spaces and parking for all vehicles, provides the perfect environment for further growth.
