Dematrahas been active in the storage of goods since 1999 with a strong specialization in food. Due to constant growth, Dematra today has a storage capacity of 75,000 pallets at 4 locations.
For several years, quality has been guaranteed by the ISO 22000 standard on food safety management. By obtaining the BRC Storage and Distribution certificate, the bar has been set very high in terms of quality. This certificate is known as the "Rolls Royce" of food safety.
BRC stands for "The British Retail Consortium" and is used by British retailers and is finding increasing acceptance in our area as well. The quality system to be established includes rules around HACCP, tracing, customer satisfaction, environment, process and personnel. In other words, it also contains specific requirements about the entire business and thus goes far beyond the purely hygienic aspect.
By obtaining this certificate, Dematra wants to offer even better quality for its existing customers and ensure constant growth in the future.To ensure quality and growth in the future, it was decided to recruit a COO. Johan Dhondt will become the new operational manager at Dematra. Johan has extensive experience within the broad supply chain management field at, among others, Cargill and Danone.In his role as COO, Johan will be responsible for the entire operational and commercial management of Dematra.
In addition to being a strong partner for warehousing, Dematra has also been active within transport for 40 years. In it, there is a strong focus on fine-meshed distribution within the Benelux.
