transport planner

As a Transportation Planner, you will be the beating heart of our transportation planning. You will work in a team of 6 enthusiastic colleagues and will have the opportunity to be involved both operationally and managerially. You are responsible for the optimal planning of trips, coordinating drivers and maintaining contacts with customers.

We are currently working with PTV Route Optimiser and will soon be switching to PTV OptiFlow. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is interested in route optimization and wants to actively think about process improvements.

Your duties

• Plan and optimize daily transportation assignments using PTV software.
• Coordinate drivers and vehicles to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Communicate with customers about deliveries, delivery dates and any changes.
• Support the team in resolving operational challenges and ad hoc queries.
• Collaborate on the transition from PTV Route Optimiser to PTV OptiFlow and contribute to a smooth implementation.
• Possibly lead a small team of fellow planners, depending on experience and interest.
• Actively contribute to a positive team culture and smooth internal communication.

What we expect from you

• Experience in transportation planning or logistics, preferably with route optimization software.
• Interest in and eagerness to learn with PTV Route Optimiser/OptiFlow.
• Strong communication skills: you dare to address both drivers and customers.
• Team player who enjoys working together in a dynamic team of 6.
• Organizational ability and solution-oriented thinking, even under pressure.
• Taking initiative and possibly daring to lead the planning team.
