Head of Transportation Planning / Transportation Manager

As Head of Transport Planning / Transport Manager, you are the heart and soul—and the driving force—behind our transport planning. You combine strong operational knowledge with natural leadership skills. You lead the planning team, provide support when needed, and know how to motivate and inspire your colleagues to give their best every day.

Together with your team, you will ensure the efficient and forward-looking planning of our distribution operations. You will work closely with your immediate colleagues and serve as the point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.

Your responsibilities

• Managing, coaching, and motivating the planning team
• Coordinating and optimizing daily transport orders
• Actively participate in planning and step in when needed
• Ensuring the efficient deployment of drivers and vehicles
• Use and optimization of systems such as Navitrans, PTV Optiflow, and Transics
• Serve as the point of contact for operational challenges and escalations
• Maintaining professional communication with customers
• Initiating and implementing process improvements
• Promoting a positive team culture and strong internal communication
