Operations Manager Transport

Your duties

• First point of contact for customers: you maintain close contacts and offer solutions to operational questions or challenges
• Managing and following up with drivers and planners to ensure flawless execution
• Organize and optimize daily transportation and distribution activities
• Manage fleet (maintenance, inspections, deployment planning, efficiency)
• Analyze transportation performance and take initiatives to improve returns
• Coordinate trip planning with a focus on service, efficiency and profitability
• P&L responsibility within the transportation department
• Cooperating yourself where necessary, you are a visible presence and set a good example

• You have experience in transportation organization in the role of operational management
• You are customer-oriented, communicative and solution-oriented
• You know how to motivate drivers and optimize schedules
• You think in terms of efficiency, service and profitability
• You are stress resistant, practical and have a strong sense of responsibility
